Network Ten showcased its great content line-up for the second half of 2017 in a series of successful sales events across the country this month.
Presented by Network Ten Chief Executive Officer Paul Anderson, Chief Content Officer Beverley McGarvey, Executive General Manager Revenue and Client Partnerships Rod Prosser, MCN CEO Anthony Fitzgerald and MCN Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Mark Frain, the TEN Next events took place across the five capital cities and drew more than 500 influential people from the marketing, advertising and media sectors.
The six events were hosted by TEN's Matt White. Key Network Ten talent also shared their views on the hit shows and sporting events still to come in 2017, including KFC Big Bash League commentators Adam Gilchrist, Mark Waugh; The Bachelor Australia and The Bachelorette Australia host Osher Gunsberg; former The Bachelorette Australia star Georgia Love; former Australian Survivor contestants Sam Webb, Kristie Bennett; TEN Sport presenter Matt Burke; and motorsport stars Alan Jones and Mark Larkham; and RPM’s Kate Peck.
The lunch presentations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth focused on the growth of TEN’s prime time hits in 2017 including; I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! (up 10% year-on-year), Gogglebox (up 17%) and Have You Been Paying Attention? (up 12%), – plus the exceptional line-up of new and returning domestic and international properties across Network Ten.
Paul Anderson confirmed that TEN'S commitment was to remain firmly focused on investing in great programming, delivering that content on as many platforms, as possible and enabling advertisers to buy TEN's audiences as efficiently as possible through MCN’s world-class trading platform.
He said: “If we look at this year, we started with Big Bash which had another terrific summer. This coming season we have eight additional games and 19 nights of prime time in a row in January 2018.
“And to come, we still have Offspring Season 7, more Shark Tank, The Bachelor Australia with Matty J, The Bachelorette Australia with Sophie Monk, and Australian Survivor, which looks amazing. Plus Common Sense, from the makers of Gogglebox, and more Gogglebox.”
Addressing TEN’s transformation plan, Paul added: “Part of our transformation is how we sell. The relationship we have with MCN is truly transformational – it has been a resounding success to date and we have a lot more planned around dynamic and programmatic trading. We won 15 Logies between TEN and Foxtel this year, which tells me MCN has some quality shows to sell.”
