MCN Meets Senior VP, Global Insights at Viacom, Christian Kurz

Viacom Senior Vice President of Global Consumer Insights, Christian Kurz, shares the results of a global study of 6-11 year olds which shows that Aussie kids are equipped, supported and fearless.

Take outs from the in-depth research include that youth in Australia interact with social media at half the global average, with Kurz revealing that parents of young children in Australia are at the conservative end of the spectrum when it comes to allowing their children to use social media.

The survey also uncovers the insight that kids rate television as the second source of happiness, behind family at number one. Although the hierarchy of screens is still intact, they are happy to gravitate to using mobile devices to watch their favourite TV content.
