Laura Jayes returns to anchor The Morning Shift on SKY NEWS

SKY NEWS welcomes the return of Anchor and Political Reporter Laura Jayes from maternity leave as host of The Morning Shift with Laura Jayes.

Starting from 11 September, The Morning Shift with Laura Jayes will continue to deliver breaking news coverage and opinions on the stories making headlines with LIVE crosses to SKY NEWS reporters and guests around the country.

Laura said: “After five months away from SKY NEWS, it is great to be back. It was tough sitting on the sidelines but it’s given me a fresh perspective. I’m re-energised and more enthusiastic than ever – juggling mum life and work.

The Morning Shift with Laura Jayes will be the go-to show for not only breaking news, but political analysis and the most up-to-date announcements and activity in business, sport and weather.”

Laura joined SKY NEWS in 2006 before being appointed Brisbane Reporter. In 2011 she joined the award winning SKY NEWS political team in Canberra as Political Reporter before returning to Sydney in 2014. In 2016 she was appointed anchor of the weeknight primetime program The Latest with Laura Jayes.

Laura is also a recipient of the 2016 SKY NEWS team Walkley and Logie Award for the channel’s Federal Election coverage.

The Morning Shift with Laura Jayes is on weekdays at 9:30am on SKY NEWS LIVE channel 601, only on Foxtel.
