To tap into the target audience through an Inside Rugby sponsorship and in-program Mercedes car giveaway.
SOLUTION
Repeating a similar promotion that achieved fantastic results in 2007, FOX SPORTS and Mercedes teamed up to giveaway a $100,000 Mercedes through the flagship rugby program, Inside Rugby.
FOX SPORTS created a targeted promotional spot where viewers were asked to watch Inside Rugby for their chance to win the Mercedes Benz E200 Kompressor.
During Inside Rugby each week, host Greg Clarke, announced the weekly Rugby question and viewers were required to SMS their answer for the chance to win. The questions were targeted to appeal to the Mercedes target audience and rugby fans.
RESULTS
A highly targeted and seamlessly integrated competition which resulted in high entry numbers for the second year running.
The brand exposure within Inside Rugby was highly valuable to Mercedes.
