Multi Channel Network has partnered with Australia's leading surf website and digital surf content provider, Swellnet. The deal will expand MCN's sports portfolio, providing advertisers with new opportunities to target 18-35 year old male consumers.

Anthony Fitzgerald, Multi Channel Network CEO, said: "We welcome Swellnet to our network of digital sporting properties which include FOX SPORTS, Fox Footy, ESPN, Sky Racing and Fox Sports News, FOXSPORTS.com.au, AFL.com.au, NRL.com.au, V8 Supercars and the Racing Network. Together with 16 dedicated sports channels, we feature more live Australian and international sporting events than any other broadcaster. Swellnet's addition to the MCN family will further strengthen our unrivalled commitment to sport - reaching consumers on any major entertainment device, whether they're in the living room or on the beach."

The partnership comes as Swellnet readies a major relaunch of the site which will include an international expansion of its surf reports and forecasts. The site will continue to deliver fans coverage of surfing contests from around the world, as well as news and views on controversial topics and stunning photo galleries. Swellnet is also developing an iPhone app and m-site.

Swellnet founder, Ben Matson said: "Since I launched the site in 2002, our community of dedicated surf fans has continued to grow. With our team of reporters, surf forecasters, photographers and videographers, we're constantly providing up-to-the-minute content. Our collaboration with MCN will open up our vast audiences to relevant brands interested in tapping into young males with a keen interest in sport and the outdoors."
