Accounts Payable Officer

MCN currently has a vacancy for an Accounts Payable Officer within our Finance Department in the Sydney Office. We are looking for someone to assist with the day to day processing of accounts payable invoices as well as other finance department functions from time to time.   

As an Accounts Payable Officer, the key responsibilities of the role are; 

  • Assisting with the day to day processing of accounts payable invoices;
  • Preparation of monthly AP related journals;
  • General ledger coding and account reconciliations;
  • Completing all monthly payments, ensuring all associated filing is up to date;
  • Processing cheque and EFT payments as required and managing cashflow;
  • Approving and reconciling employee expense claims
  • Documentation of current procedures to assist in preparation of a policy and procedures manual;
  • Ad hoc projects and tasks as may arise from time to time to assist other members of the finance team.

This is a highly administrative role and the right candidate would ideally possess the below skills;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as this position will need to liaise with various MCN staff and customers in order to understand and document processes;
  • Self starter who can be set a task and work independently to see it through to completion;
  • Attention to detail is essential as the role requires accurate processing of invoices received.
  • Willingness to learn and grow with the role to take on more responsibility as time goes on.

Multiply Integration Manager - Digital Sport

MCN currently has a vacancy for a Multiply Integration Manager - Digital Sport within its MCN Sport team. This role is based in Sydney with a heavy focus on MCN's NRL assets (nrl.com.au, Fox Sports NRL, Fox Sports Pulse). This area of MCN focuses on creating, developing, executing and managing integrated sponsorship campaigns across the MCN Sport digital publishers including: Fox Sports, AFL, NRL, Sportsfan, Swellnet and Sky Sports.

Broad responsibilities include:

  • Achieve and report on the revenue targets attributed to MCN Sport sponsorships & budgets
  • Ensure channels partners /websites solutions are presented and communicated effectively to the Digital Sales Team (confirmed deliverables as well as creative and insights).
  • Oversee the development of integrated proposals for channels partners /websites.
  • Responsible for basic digital proposals across key websites within MCN's portfolio - communicating value proposition, competitive analysis and key categories.
  • Create new opportunities to ensure targets are met.
  • Develop innovative and effective digital responses to brief.
  • Monitor competitor activity to identify new business.
  • Build strong relationships with digital partners, specifically nrl.com.au.

Attributes necessary to the role:

  • A clear understanding and demonstrated experience in developing multi-screen solutions
  • Exceptional relationship building skills
  • High levels of written/verbal communication
  • High levels of creativity and innovation
  • Strong negotiation/sales skills
  • Exceptional presentation skills

This role would ideally suit someone who has a 3+ years' experience in the advertising or media industry or top publisher across a variety of clients. A degree in marketing/business/communications with digital experience is preferred.

Junior Media Role: Digital Ad Operations Co-ordinator

MCN currently has a vacancy for a Digital Ad Operations Co-ordinator within its Digital Department in Sydney. In this role you will be required to traffic and manage campaigns booked on MCN's websites from beginning to end. This involves loading and scheduling advertisements to appear in the right place at the right time. You will need to have high attention to detail. If you enjoy the creativity of the media industry as well as mastering computer systems such as ad serving tools, this role is perfect for you! 

The main responsibilities of this role include;

  • Trafficking of digital advertising campaigns.
  • Monitoring campaign performance.
  • Suggesting website optimisations.
  • Reporting, Documenting and archiving.
  • Communicating with sales team and channels.
  • Providing support to the digital team.

We are looking for a talented and driven individual who is not only passionate, knowledgeable and excited about the digital space, but also has a great combination of technical and administrative flair. Ideally, we would like a candidate with experience in a similar role.
