Commercial Inventory Co-ordinator

We are currently expanding and have a number of new entry-level roles available. As we continue to grow, so must our junior talent! As an entry level role, this position would suit someone looking to establish their career in the media industry. We welcome university graduates, however as we provide extensive on the job training, a degree is not essential. Data entry and/or administration experience will be highly regarded. 

MCN currently has a vacancy for a Commercial Inventory Co-ordinator (Traffic) within the C.I Department in the Sydney Office. We are looking for a career driven individual who has a genuine interest in media & advertising and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. As a Commercial Inventory Co-ordinator, the key responsibilities of the role are; 

• Liaise with channels such as the Discovery Network, E!, Style Network, Turner group and Foxtel Movies channels.
• Create strong relationships with Foxtel Channel partners.
• Review all commercial content to comply with individual channel policies. 
• Prepare daily log schedules to the channels stated above, however not limited to.
• Ensure that all log schedules are delivered to the channels by the deadlines specified.
• Verifying the log schedule with the post transmission as run to ensure that all spots were transmitted correctly before billing

This is a highly administrative role and the right candidate would ideally possess the below skills;

Personal Assistant - Operations & Systems Development Director

MCN currently has a vacancy for a Personal Assistant to the Operations & Systems Development Director within our Sydney office.

The primary functions of this role include:

  • Managing the Operations & Systems Development Director's diary and in-box when required.
  • Travel Management - organising and booking all travel arrangements (both National and International) for the Operations & Systems Development Director when required.
  • Organising internal meetings, including the setup of boardroom, catering, and recording meeting minutes if and when required.
  • Fax, photocopy and perform other administrative duties as required.
  • Performing nominated projects and ad-hoc duties as required.
  • Taking responsibility for project administrative tasks.
  • Assisting in preparation of project documentation and reports.
  • Assistance with administrative aspects of preparation of Board papers, presentations and project papers, business cases, budgets for the Operations & Systems Development Director.
  • Type letters and other documents as requested and provide administrative support to Operations & Systems Development Director and Operations & Systems Development team as required.

We are looking for an experienced PA who has a genuine interest in media & advertising and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment - this is a fantastic opportunity to put your organisational skills and attention to detail to good use! This role requires a candidate with at least 2-3 years' experience within a similar role.

Qantas Inflight Entertainment Sales Manager

MCN currently has a vacancy for a Qantas Inflight Entertainment Sales Manager within the Qantas Inflight Entertainment team in Sydney. MCN are now responsible for selling advertising across Qantas' cabin main screen and video on demand networks, domestically and internationally. Content-wise, Sky News and Foxtel deliver the latest news headlines and locally produced entertainment exclusively to Qantas customers. Together; Qantas, MCN, Sky News and Foxtel deliver a premium content service, engaging with a significant number of highly valuable business and leisure travellers.

The Qantas Inflight Entertainment Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue across Qantas' Inflight Entertainment Network. Working extensively with clients and media agencies, the role requires a proactive, professional and solutions based sales approach. The successful applicant will also play a significant role in managing relationships with key stakeholders, such as Qantas, Sky News and Foxtel.

The broad responsibilities for this include:

  • Work to revenue budgets as advised by MCN Management
  • Provide accurate forecasts and reports of agency and client activity on a weekly basis
  • Work proactively at all times to attract new business
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing revenue base
  • Compile bespoke and compelling sales presentations in a timely and accurate manner
  • Demonstrate an ongoing working knowledge of the broader MCN offering
  • Develop key relationships both internally and externally, at the agency, client and stakeholder level
